Mac Chicken Cacciatore

Kraft Foods came through again. This is a very budget friendly meal that even my son loved. The recipe calls for store-bought cooked chicken, but I made the chicken myself by cubing one chicken breast half, seasoning it with salt and pepper, and then cooking it with a tablespoon of olive oil in a sautee pan. I think the flavor is much better with fresh food.

Here's the recipe:

Mac Chicken Cacciatore

1 pkg. (7-1/4 oz.) KRAFT Macaroni & Cheese Dinner
1 pkg. (6 oz.) OSCAR MAYER Deli Fresh Oven Roasted Chicken Breast Cuts, or Deli Fresh Italian Style Chicken Breast Strips
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
1/2 cup chopped green peppers

1) Prepare Mac & Cheese in large saucepan as directed on package.

2) Stir in remaining ingredients; cook on low heat 5 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

Makes about four 1-1/4-cup servings
